“GRAB IT FOR THE COVER”
After listening to a CD of your choice you then will have to design its CD cover. Try to be simple & communicative. People listen to different kinds of music make all of them grab your cover. Even if the music inside it is dub step and they listen only to death metal. Make colour pleasing to the eye use simple designs without shadows and flashy effects. A good design doesn’t need that.
Deadline
6 week project
1. A2 folder (with the finished work).

b. What does it make you feel when you listen to it?
c. Does it remind you something of your past life or something you want to achieve in the future?
Further analysis
Band: FDR from Ireland.
I got in contact with them as I usually dowith all the new bands and musicians I like. I found out that they are actually making a CD cover for their new album that they are planning to release after Christmas. I asked them if they want to see some of my ideas. So they gave me their new songs that have not yet been released and told me that their Music Company will get in touch with me as soon as possible
Band: Sidesteps from Mons, Belgium.
Sidesteps is a quite new band in Belgium and are trying to realise their first record.
This time the band got in contact with me after seeing some of my videos on you tube. At first they asked me if I want to do video clips for them.
I got really exited about that and I gave them some ideas that they really liked. From that time on we are in contact with the band and I keep giving them ideas about their website and how their album should look like.
I can’t let time flow so I made a CD cover outline. Now I will have to listen to their music and finally choose on of them to make my design.
P.S: Be Ambitious
THIS IS A DESIGN EXPERIMENT: I’ve been listening to the song “Space Lord” by Monster Magnet, till I finish the design. I did that because I wanted to see how sound can influence the way I design.

Sports Dock
Posted in Sports Dock on October 20, 2010 by aristotelis9These are my ideas on the Sports Dock project I would like to try and replace the colours with type.
The orange colour will be replaced by the names of the countries that the Olympic games have taken place so far
The black colour will be replaces by words that show the spirit of athleticism.
I would like to put more sports symbols in the poster and replace again the colours.
